My Little Artist

This morning I woke up to Ava saying to me "Mommy. I need to wash my hands." I'm thinking "Why in the world do you need to wash your hands. You just woke up." So I tell her to give me a minute. Well she goes into the bathroom and brings me the cottonelle wipes I keep in there. Ok. So I wipe her hands off and she climbs in bed with me and plays with her puzzles.

When I finally really wake up I see her arm…

Yep. What a creative little girl. I guess I won't be leaving markers in her room anymore!

I also find it all over her legs. The right one worse than the left.

But that face and crazy hair is still so dang cute. Mommy couldn't help but laugh a little. And fortunately she didn't color on anything else. Just herself and the coloring pages the markers were meant for!

So later this afternoon we decided to finally do our pumpkins. We did do pumpkins at Grandma Kathy's last week while Marissa and the kids were here. But we need pumpkins at our house too!

She was really excited to do pumpkins again. She actually stuck her hand inside the pumpkin to scoop out some seeds.

It took me a couple of hours to do both of our pumpkins. I think Ava got kind of bored after a while. Though she did enjoy playing with all the cool little tools. I love her face. She didn't want to smile. Can you tell? Pretty sure that is a classic Ava face.

Finally a smile. It took more effort than I would have liked to get it!!!

Ava's pumpkin and Mommy's pumpkin.
Yes that is a mustache.
