Little Bit of Us!!

So here is a little bit of what we've been up to lately!!

I LOVE waffles. And we haven't really eaten them much at our house because our waffle iron wasn't seasoned. So a good three years later, we finally pulled out our waffle iron again. Ava likes waffles too!! Even on her head.
Silly waffle head!!

We also got a new faucet for Christmas!! And yes we cheated and put it in already!!! I really wanted a faucet with a sprayer. And I also forgot to upload a picture of it. And I didn't want to start all over again!! So if you want to see it, come visit us!!

Ava was such a great help!! Ryan is gone pretty much all day so when he's home she follows him around EVERYWHERE!!!! It's really cute!
Helping Ryan install our faucet!
"What!?! Dad likes my help!!"

Ava also LOVES to dance when she hears music!! Especially to Just the Way You Are by Bruno Mars, We Used to Be Friends by The Dandy Warhols, and Marry You done by the Glee cast. She loves to also watch the music videos of the previously mentioned songs on YouTube. Which is helpful when she's being a stinker about getting dressed for bed! I have been wanting to get a cute video of her dancing and had a few that were ok that I was going to post, but I finally got a really good video while she was watching YouTube!!
At the end you can totally tell I got busted for recording her!!! Oops!! It was fun while it lasted!!

Darts

When we were home for Thanksgiving last week, my dad had made pancakes for breakfast. (Marissa and I got super cool flying saucer pancakes while the kids got not as cool shapes like whales and dinosaurs and stuff!!) But Isaac had gone down to get his dart gun and was shooting the glass above Ava's head. She thought it was HILARIOUS!!! She was laughing so hard! So the boys took turns shooting the darts at the glass!! (Video at the bottom!!)
Laughing and laughing!
Oh!! Gotta stop and enjoy some pancakes real quick!
Cute little face!
Sweet face!
So this is not a very good picture but I thought it was kind of funny! On Thanksgiving day Ava was running around and I followed her into the kitchen and she ran up to the glass door and was hitting it with her hands and stuff. Well the next thing I know she's licking the door!! You can see the drool by her mouth!! Every time I would try to take a picture she'd stop licking!! But as soon as I put the camera away, out came her tongue!

Shopping Carts

One of Ava's favorite things to do is to sit, or lounge, in the shopping cart like a big girl!! It always makes me laugh!! Here are some fun shopping cart moments!!
Cute smile!!
I love how she reaches her arm back!!
And how she puts her feet up!!
Nothin like chillin while mom and dad shop!!

Awesomeness!?!

So today we went up to Weston, ID to see the annual pumpkin blow. Basically what goes down is this. These people gather up all the pumpkins they can and put them in a big pile and blow them up! How awesome right!! So since we were already up that way we decided to go over to Preston. We just wanted a little look see at good 'ol Preston High School. Here is what we found!!
Ahhh.. Preston High School. After we stopped by, we went to the Pepperidge Farm Factory Thrift store, where we got cookies and goldfish cheap!! Alright!! Then we came home and HAD to watch Napoleon Dynamite. What a good day!!!

I also forgot that I haven't posted our Halloween pictures yet. We were kind of cheap this year and took Ava to the grocery store to trick or treat. I love that they do this. I hadn't planned on taking her trick or treating at all, but I remembered that every year some of the grocery stores do trick or treating and we needed some groceries anyways!!
They didn't give out as much candy this year.. Thank goodness. At one of the stops they were giving out balloons. I wasn't sure what Ava would think of her balloon, but she LOVED it!!! Afterwards we headed down to Salt Lake. Kaitlynn was supposed to go home that weekend but didn't end up getting to go. Dad and Cody drove up to Marissa and Levi's and they were kind enough to let us come down too!! We had such a fun time seeing everyone.
Ava LOVES wearing her jackets. So we let her. She climbed up in this chair all by herself! She was so happy!
This was from today. She LOVES sitting in chairs and on the couches like a big girl!!
Here's a cute video of Ava and her balloon. She kept doing this while we were in the store! Needless to say pushing the cart was a little challenging with a balloon popping my in the face!!

Halloween Honey Cookies!

Growing up, instead of going trick or treating, we would have a little party at home. Mom would get us all some candy and we would watch a movie. Usually before Halloween, mom would make honey cookies and we would get to decorate them with candy corn and chocolate chips!! This was usually the only time of year we would get these cookies! So of course I have to continue this tradition with my own family! Unfortunately Kaitlynn and I were the only ones home to do this!! Which means we ran out of creative ideas…
The finished product. (Yes, we resorted to letters…)
This is our favorite cookie. (It makes more sense if you have seen the 30 Second Bunnies Theatre Twilight version… which is hilarious!)
This is what Ava did while we finished the cookies!!

We were able to make it down to Grandma and Grandpa Wilkey's to pick out our pumpkins this year!! We had a blast!!
All of the cousins.

We finally carved our pumpkins yesterday. We didn't get to them before Ryan had to go to work so he did his at about 10:30 p.m.
Ava hasn't been feeling well the last couple of days, hence her sad face!!
"What!?!"
This is a blurry picture but it's still super cute!! She even gave our pumpkin a kiss!
Kaitlynn showing us her mad pumpkin carving skills!
All finished!
Kaitlynn's pumpkin, Ryan's, and Mom and Ava's pumpkin.
Ryan has some mad pumpkin carving skills also!! I, as you can see, don't!! Thank goodness for those carving kits!
All lit up!

Every year for Ryan's work they get to dress up. The last couple of years he's been Napoleon Dynamite. Which has been awesome! But this year he decided to change it up a bit!!!

Ah, Ryan in his true form!!

One Year Pictures

So I had wanted to do some pics of Ava at a year old. My friend Liz was so wonderful and did them for me!! Here are some of my favorites. There are quite a few pictures on this post. I had a really hard time picking from all of the great pictures we got!!
This was at a really cool old building across the street from our house!!

I love this face!!

I was so excited that she got a picture of her new teeth!!!
We LOVE her beautiful blue eyes!!!

Even though this pic is focused on the background I still LOVE her smile and dimples!!

I am so glad we were able to do pictures of her!! Especially before it got to cold and yucky outside!! Thanks a million Liz!!

Curls and Tutus

So I've recently been LOVING Ava's curls. She's had curly hair but I just haven't done anything with it. But I just LOVE LOVE LOVE them!!

My friend Liz made this tutu for Ava. She LOVES it. She likes to wear it ALL THE TIME!! And if it makes her happy, fine by me!!

What a cute girl!!
